Myanmar is blessed with an abundance of resources. These resources could play a positive or negative role for the country. It can facilitate the economic development after years of isolation or result in conflict over the share of its distribution. This dilemma becomes all the more significant for Myanmar as it is undergoing political reforms, the result of which is eagerly awaited by the world community. The article makes an attempt to analyse the myriad aspects of resources that could have a long term impact on the overall development of the country.
